“Gotta getta job!” That is what one of my 3 year old students said when I asked him what he needed to do if he wanted to buy a piece of broccoli for $.04 and he only had $.03. So I asked him to put away some crayons for $.02. When I asked the next child the question I offered her a harder job. One where she had to think and use her memory. She was paid more, $.05. I explained to the kids, “You get paid more for jobs where you have to think.” The next time I came around to the first boy, he wanted a thinking job. Now THAT is economics.
